Brummie Zombies?

If you go wandering around the zombie section of Amazon, it won't be long before you come across this tasty slice of undead action.
It seems to have been simmering around for a while with some great reviews & some critical acclaim.
In Necropolis Rising, we have a dastardly plot to infect government computers, Birmingham sealed off, more special ops than you can shake a stick at and a zombie horde marching through the city...
Jeffery's writing is refreshing & crisp. His scenes & dialogue are fast-moving & movie like. It's easy to see why this book has developed something of a cult following. My only gripe would be that I would have liked it to be longer but then I looked online & there is a sequel in the works.
It's UK-based, there are some real twists in there & characters like Stu, Owen & of course O'Connell are well-thought out & written but they don't fall into neat stereotypes - Jeffery keeps you guessing & I rattled through some of the chapters, just to see where we were going to end up - always a good sign for a book.
All in all, I would say this is an above average zombie yarn. Look forward to further chapters. Below is a link to the prequel. I've not read it but that's certainly on my list...
