Ministry of Zombies - Doctor Austin

Well, they've scared us to death for years - we all have our survival guides read, highlighted and stacked up....so what's left...

Firstly, this a real zombie science book & is designed to give the reader all of the scientific knowledge they need to battle the undead. Dr Austin knows what he's talking about & it shows in the detail of the text.

It takes the form a university textbook but don't be dismayed - there is plenty of humour in it & the author keeps things moving along until the online exam - yes, I said online exam - you can get yourself qualified with this book but whether you put it on your CV or not is up to you.

The writing style is not at all heavy considering some of the content so I think it will appeal broadly but those of us with leaning toward to geekdom may enjoy it more.

The parts I liked the best were Dr Austin's examination of the causes of zombiesm - he goes through pretty much every theory I have from virus and bacteria to magic, alien and mutation but at the same time, he casts a scientific/crazy eye over them all.

The bibliography is also one of the most comprehensive I've seen in a zombie book.

So, all in all, I was excited about this book because it seemed to be something different in the zombie book market. Prepare yourself for something intelligent, a bit crazy, very funny and a good addition to any zombie book library...
